mummygreen:

I have decided to being again.

A new blog. A new start.

My old blog got a little distracted and clogged up with silly, funny things that the internet has to offer. I shall keep it for those, they still make me smile.

This, however, is not for that.

Since finding out I was pregnant, the…

Book 39 - Life of Pi

Loved loved this book! Such a clever story, I found all the little informative bits so interesting. The story was so fascinating and funny, and then the ending, cor what an ending! I just don’t know, there have been many marital debates on the topic and we still don’t have a conclusion. I don’t want to give anything away to those that haven’t read it so I won’t say any more, just, READ IT! I loved the way the story flipped between the narrative and the author’s perspective of Pi, it added an interesting layer to the story that made the ending even harder to decipher! One of my favourite books off the list so far…. So now I am on book 40, which will be Treasure Island. Feels like quite an achievement. I have read on average 1.2 books a month for 33 months so it will take me another 50 months to finish! More than 4 years, think I need to crack on somewhat, if I finish Treasure Isalnd by the end of the year that will help. That is also the goal as on new years day the tv version starts on sky Atlantic!

Book 38 - The Forgotton Garden

Errrrrrrr
I dunno how I feel about this book. A nice easy read, a bit cheesy, actually a lot cheesy! Although I definitely got sucked in, but then I always do. It was so predictable what was going to happen the whole way through it was barely worth having such a big book. And that really was an awful lot of book for not a lot of story!
I don’t really understand why this book is so popular though, someone could explain it to me maybe?
